<p>The First Event of The Alumni Networking Series took place on April 24th, 2010. With that occasion, AIS Alumni &amp; Employment Committee brought to you three prominent alumni who were able to answer your questions about life after Penn. Many thanks to the participating alumni and students.</p>
<p>The participating alumni are:</p>
<p>Mehdi El Hajoui:</p>
<p>Mehdi was born and raised in Casablanca, Morocco. He studied at both the Wharton School and the College of Arts Sciences, graduating Phi Beta Kappa in 2003. After Penn, Mehdi undertook two years of graduate studies in Romance Languages and Literatures at Harvard University. He subsequently joined the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in their Washington DC office. While at BCG, Mehdi worked on a number of projects, including a transformation strategy for New Orleans’s public school system. He also spent significant time in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Casablanca, Morocco, helping with the launch of BCG’s Middle East and North Africa offices. Mehdi will be receiving his MBA from Wharton in May 2010, and expects to return to BCG in the Fall.</p>
<p>Pradeep Murali:</p>
<p>Pradeep is from Chennai, India and completed his undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Madras. He joined a multi-national IT consulting company – Hexaware Technologies – following his graduation. As a consultant at Hexaware he had the opportunity to work for clients such as British Telecommunications and AVIS in England. Pradeep completed his Master’s in Computer and Information Science at UPenn in May 2007. He now works for a boutique IT consulting firm – Zytus Inc. – based in the US and specializing in implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) business solutions. In his current role, he has worked with clients such as The Vanguard Group and FedEx. Pradeep will be beginning his full-time MBA studies in the fall of this year.</p>
<p>Monika Maul:</p>
<p>Monika Maul (CAS ’91; GSE ’97) is a first generation American who was brought up bi-cultural household in the United States by German parents and speaks German and Spanish. She is currently the Sr. Expatriate Services Manager – Americas Region at PepsiCo, located in Purchase, NY. In this role, she is responsible for 125 executives and their families from 22 nationalities working in 14 countries. Prior positions include Human Resource Manager at Masterfoods, USA a division of Mars, Incorporated; International Transfer Manager at Mars, Incorporated and Sr. Expatiate Analyst at Ernst &amp; Young. She enjoys cultural events, theater and travel – most recently to Turkey, Peru and Mexico.</p>
