International Student Orientation (ISO)

This committee has been renamed and reformatted, and after a merger with the IMP committee it is now theĀ International Mentorship and Orientation Committee.

The ISO committee is responsible for planning and executing International Student Orientation. We have recently started working in collaboration with the NSO office which means that we have an incredible opportunity to redefine ISO!

In the last two years, we have successfully re-branded ISO as an integral part of New Student Orientation and have effectively lobbied to include it in the main NSO schedule, allowing the maximum number of incoming students to benefit from it. Go to our ISO 2011 page which will be a fantastic resource for you as you settle in, giving you information about public transport, the Philly social scene and food, and important Penn-related information!

Our goal for the year 2011-2012 is to extend the experience from ISO into the year by organizing events such as trips to Phillies’ games, King of Prussia Mall, tours of different parts of Philadelphia, and other activities that will give the new freshmen a chance to bond with their classmates and to experience the breadth of life in Philly! With an extremely exciting year ahead of us, we hope to welcome many new members who can help us continue to move forward in our mission to improve the international freshman experience!
