You will be able to look at your room specifications once your housing assignment becomes available on Campus Express. Before deciding on what to bring with you, it’s a good idea to talk to your roommate so that you can coordinate what each of you will bring. A lot of room essentials can be purchased at the Penn Bookstore. 
There will also be an IKEA trip during NSO where you will be able to purchase most of the things you need. A list of items which are recommended by the NSO office can be found here. Don’t worry about bringing most of these things (particularly bedding!) with you! You won’t have space for them in your luggage! Almost everything is available in local stores in and around campus.
